Archiving

If you ask it to, the site will create a web page for you (in HTML) which collects all of the liner notes, lyrics, and comments received on all of the songs you’ve posted, together with all the messages that people have left on your profile page. You can then save this web page to your device’s hard drive as a permanent record of your work this year.

You can find the Archive function in the menu at the top of the website, under your account avatar:

It’s worth updating your archive file every few days or so during the challenge. Once the site closes, you will not be able to access those comments and messages any more. They’ll be gone forever.

Please note that the archive file created when you click on the archive menu button will NOT include any audio files of the songs themselves. You will need to make your own backups of those!

You should also remember that you have to create the archive yourself by clicking on the button. It will not be generated automatically for you!
